Our team brings decades of professional experience to the business of keeping you healthy. Armed with the highest levels of accreditation and a commitment to ongoing education, we work hard to stay abreast of dentistry trends. And, most importantly, we are devoted, every single day, to meeting our patients where they are—as whole people with complex lives, wants, and needs. At Indian Trail Dental Care, you matter more than just your mouth.
I am a proud Spokane native! Graduating from Lewis and Clark High School and Gonzaga University. I completed my dental training at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After attending dental school, I’ve continued my education in dentistry by pursuing a passion in Smile Design and Esthetic dentistry. I have spent many hours completing courses in my dedication to excellence in the art and science of Aesthetic Dentistry, specifically, at the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum at the University of Pacific in San Francisco. I particularly enjoy performing Botox and Juvéderm facial esthetics to frame a gorgeous smile with improved facial esthetics. I have over a decade of experience with Botox and Fillers, both of which my patients positively love. Outside of dentistry, I’m passionate about the outdoors and grateful to live in the Pacific Northwest. My wife Kris and I enjoy skiing, biking, the local lakes and gardening, as well as collecting many bamboo and maple plants from Russia to Korea. I’ve raised my family in Spokane and look forward to many more years of serving the dental health needs of the community I love.
HI, my name is Saro Phillips, and I have been in the dental field for over 40 years. The first 8 years I was a dental assistant but for some reason the front office was calling my name, so I have spent the last 34 years here at Indian Trail Dental Care as the business manager. A choice I'm so grateful to have made! Dr. Shelby and his team are more than co-workers we are a family. I've really enjoy seeing the progression of dentistry in the last 40 years. When not at the office I enjoy spending time with my husband on Lake Roosevelt fishing, watching Football (go Seahawks), Gardening and time with our grandchildren..
I joined Indian Trail in August 2021, but have been in dentistry since 1998. The Red Cross Volunteer program at Fairchild AFB is where I started my career; going back to school in 2009 at SCC for my EFDA license was a fun part of building my credentials. Now I enjoy helping Dr Shelby with placing fillings and doing scans every chance I get. I feel very lucky to be part of such a great team. My favorite things to do are: spend time outdoors hiking, mushrooming, camping and fishing. Spokane has been my home since 1981, right around the time Mount St. Helens erupted. I met my husband in 1995 and married in 1999. My 4 kids round out most of my life, along with 3 grandkids (so far).
Hello! I have been practicing as a full time dental hygienist since I graduated EWU’s dental hygiene program, with honors, in 2004. A smile is very powerful, and I am happy to be able to help my patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles! I am a very involved mother to my beautiful daughter, Savannah. She is my sunshine–my world revolves around her and she brightens all my days. We enjoy anything outdoors, and often take advantage of the many joys living in the gorgeous PNW provides us. I became a part of Dr. Shelby’s practice in 2021 and really enjoy being part of a team that works together to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients. Dr. Shelby truly cares about his staff and patients, and it shows!
